Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. We visited Santa and all enjoyed telling him what they wanted. We do not tell our children that Santa is real, and Nate knows that he isn't. But LG and Cora really have a good time talking to him. Nate lets his brother and sister know that it Jesus' birthday. I am so thankful that I have a wonderful savior that was willing to come as a baby to save me. Hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas.

LG's tooth song

LG turned 5 a month ago and he just lost his bottom two teeth and he wanted to sing the "tooth song" that brother tater sang almost a year ago. Well, here is Logger's rendition of the tooth song. I think he is better at dancing than at singing. We will see.

Hope all of you are having a wonderful Christmas, thankful that we have a reason to celebrate God's love and grace. Merry Christmas!!

As crafty as I get

I am not as crafty as girlie girl, but
this is what we did for Grandma N's Christmas gift.

Alligator

Flower

Airplane

And actually Ben did these!!

We got these kits and thought it would be a neat memory of how small the kid's hands were.

The kids loved doing it.

It is Nate's 7th birthday today.

He had a wild time.

Wow time flies.....

Kids and the Dog

I thought I would share some pictures of our dog saddliere. Nate made up a name. We just call her saddle. The kids absolutely love her. Almost too much. They also love her kennel as you can see from the picture.

Not sure why this is, but boys and dogs love stinky things and they do not care if they stink too.

Ben tells me that's just "how we are and that is what baths are for."

The kids favorite pastime is to sit in the kennel with it locked and play. For some reason they think it's fun to get locked in.

Sometimes I think it is nice too!!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Birthdays

Ben turned 33 Friday. We celebrated by going out to dinner for the evening and enjoyed some quiet time together. We reminisced about dating. How we were then and how we are now.We cannot believe that we will be married for 10 years at the end of this year. Where did the time go?

Ben filled in this Sunday at a local church. He talked about being older and understanding how repentance is not only being sorry for what has been done, but also to change your ways. I think that is a lot where I falter. I need to make a 180 degree change in what God wants to change in me. I just have to be flexible to his leading.

We strive so long to grow up, be married, have children and slowly but surely God truly blesses us with our prayers. I truly can say it is has been a wonderful, joyful, fulfilling, roller coaster of a life. I think that is what God means that

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I just have to learn to enjoy the path and ride that God provides us. Pray for grace, wisdom, and peace. To trust in His power.

God has blessed us so much with great children and family. We are truly thankful for His grace.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that hopefully as we get older, we get wiser, but it truly is when we allow God to mold us that our eyes can be open to how we should be. I hope that we all have more spiritual birthdays that allow us to mature in becoming more like Christ.

Holiday Season

Meet the Nash Bash

Well we had a very busy holiday season. Nate (nater-tater, tater, or the tater) lost both of his front teeth on December 19th and 20th. Luckily he had learned the All I want for Christmas tooth song for his Christmas concert at school.

Logan (Loggers/ LG) "flipped out" about singing in front of a crowd. Mom had to go to the front of the church and rescue him.

Cora (C) received many baby dolls for Christmas and loves all of them. She is a wonderful "mother."

And "C" turned 3 on January 16th. We had an early birthday party for her and late one for Uncle Jason. However, Jason did not feel the need to blow out candles on his and C's birthday cake. At least C liked the Tinkerbell cake=) Do you like our dress up clothes?

This season has also been somewhat sad for us in that Ben's grandma passed away. And as we tell our children she is with Jesus in heaven. We are happy she is in heaven and I am sure she is happy to be back with grandpa. We will definitely miss her until we meet her again in heaven.

Nate sang this for Grandma Robbins and she absolutely loved it!
